Student Profile
 
 The aquaculture engineering graduate will be able to:
  • Participate in interdisciplinary groups of the production sector to create better growth in the world.
  • Create, operate and administer aquatic and fishery businesses in a sustainable way.
  • Design, plan, carry out, direct, and evaluate the construction and management of acquatic systems.
  • Participate in activities that promote aquatic development of the production sector.
  • Participate in the formation and evaluation of projects involving investment in aquatic businesses.
  • Collaborate in the planning of economic development of the fishing business.
  • Offer scientific/technical assistance to the official, private, and social sectors of the fishing industry in order to bring about better management, use, conservation, and progress of marine resources.
  • Carry out scientific research and projects of technological development that will foster aquatic and fishing development.
  • Determine aquatic species that are potentially useful for cultivation and production.
  • Generate results of aquatic and technological innovations that help solve problems come about due to social or production factors.
  • Impart technical and scientific knowledge to organized groups.
  • Establish links with the community, the private and production sectors, and government and civil institutions through the practice of his or her profession.
  • Have the ability to manage the procedures of production of balanced meals.
   
Field Work
 
 The graduate of Aquaculture Engineering will be able to:
  • Work in the aquaculture businesses in the private and public sectors with the possibility starting up his/her own business.
  • Participate in the development of projects in the production, government and public sectors.
  • Continue his/her specialization in programs at the national or international level.
